Crews prep to install solar panels on Music City Center roofs
Crews are currently preparing to install solar panels on the roof of Music City Center, the city's largest solar installation, according to a news release.
On Monday, crews hoisted most of the 845 solar panels that will be required onto the roof.
Nashville-based LighWave Solar will begin installing the panels Feb. 11. Four massive inverters, weighing 1,800 pounds each, will be flown on to the building's roof on Feb 23. Construction is expected to be complete by March 18.
The solar panels are expected to generate enough electricity to power the building's lighting.
