NABCEP stands for the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners, and it’s the most respected, well-established and widely recognized national certification organization for professionals in the field of renewable energy. LightWave Solar employs more NABCEP-certified solar installers, sales people and engineers than any other solar company in the Southeast.
Solar Design Engineer, Jack Barksdale, is the latest LightWave Solar employee to earn a full NABCEP certificate. Jack earned a new type of NABCEP certification, PV Design Specialist, and he is the first person in Tennessee to receive it!
In late 2018, Project Consultant, Justin Huff, obtained a full NABCEP PV Technical Sales Certification, and Matt Duncan, also Project Consultant, earned the same NABCEP solar certification last spring.
Jack, Matt and Justin join fellow NABCEP-certified team members Steve Johnson, Karl Jaeger, JP Plumlee, Matt Pelerossi, Daniel Hodge and Billy Jones, totaling 9 full NABCEP solar certificate holders on staff at LightWave Solar. LightWave Solar now employees three NABCEP-certified solar sales professionals and five NABCEP-certified solar installers and one NABCEP-certified design specialist.

NABCEP certificate holders must meet training and work experience criteria as well as pass a rigorous exam.
