Steve Johnson is President and Founder of LightWave Solar. He is a NABCEP Certified Solar PV Installer and has been in the electrical construction business for over 30 years with experience in solar PV dating back to 1998. He holds the second NABCEP certification in the State of TN as well as an unlimited TN Electrical Contractors License including a Solar Panel Installation designation. Steve is responsible for the first solar interconnections with over 70 electrical distributors. He is the 2007 recipient of the TN Million Solar Roofs “Solar Star” award for contributions in the solar electrical field in the state. In 2010 Steve was elected to the board of the TN Solar Energy Industries Association (TenneSEIA) and currently serves as Vice President. Steve lives in Cane Ridge with his wife, Carla, and has two kids in college. Steve has a 7kW solar PV system on his home, an off-grid system on his barn and a solar-powered golf cart to help with yard work.
