Right now TN legislators are considering a bill to enable PACE (Property Assessed Clean Energy), a simple way for property owners to finance energy efficiency, renewable energy, and water conservation upgrades to buildings. PACE financing covers 100% of a project’s costs and is repaid for up to 25 years with an assessment added to the property’s tax bill. A PACE loan stays with the building upon sale.
