TVA Announces 2017 Solar Program
TVA’s Green Power Providers (GPP) program will continue into 2017 without changes to the solar buyback rates or solar program capacity. GPP will open on January 11, 2017, on a first-come, first-served basis and will close on December 15, 2017. 2017 GPP program guidelines include the following:
- Total program capacity will be 10 MW (50/50 non-residential/residential split).
- Solar electricity generated will be purchased at the escalating retail rate for the entirety of the 20 year contract.
- Allowable system sizes will range from 0.5kW – 50kW.
This year’s program is still open with 3.22MW of capacity available, as of October 31. TVA will accept applications until December 16, 2016, if capacity remains open. Contact us to get your project into the program!
