Savant Power Storage
In the evolution of Savant’s home automation technology, Savant has launched the Savant Power solution. The Savant Power solution is essentially a smart home backup solution that integrates with the Smart Home, and solar energy systems to provide whole home battery backup similar to Tesla Powerwalls and the FranklinWH battery,
Much like the others, Savant’s battery backup option offers reliable power to optimize your energy consumption both on and off the grid. Savant Power Storage helps coordinate the use of utility power, solar generation, and stored energy to minimize on-grid utility costs and keep your systems running during an outage.
One of the key differentiators is that the Savant Power solution can be used to back up and share its batteries across multiple 200A service (breaker) panels, vs being limited to independently backed up 200A service panels. By sharing the batteries across multiple service panels, clients avoid the issue of having one service panel’s batteries drained in an outage, while their other 200A service panel(s) have power, but loads on the drained service panel are not able to use their energy!… imagine having the kitchen’s batteries drained during a dinner party, but the bedroom batteries still have plenty of energy. Savant eliminates that concern and allows a more efficient design for battery utilization.
How the Savant Battery Performs
Savant battery stack units handle up to 12.5kW and 20kWh of storage, expandable up to 8 units for up to 125kW / 200kWh. In addition, they have a long battery life and a warranty of 10 years. They use a compact integrated battery housing and inverter design that is easy to install, making it a great solution for homes with special challenges. For example, the 12.5kW inverter stacked with 20kWh of battery storage has a footprint of 26 x 13 inches and is just under 7 feet tall. With Savant battery back-ups, experience serious backup power with minimal impact on your interior space.
Apart from Tesla Powerwalls, Savant batteries (like the FranklinWH) are a great solution for those who want to integrate a generator into their systems as additional security or who want to go completely off-grid.
