LightWave Solar and our financing partner BB&T will host a free seminar to help businesses understand the benefits of installing solar this year.  We want to help business owners learn how solar works, what solar costs, and how to maximize the financial incentives such as TVA’s Green Power Providers program whose premium ends this year and the 30% federal tax credit which expires at the end of 2016.

Additionally, the presentation will highlight a new financing concept that allows businesses to see a two year solar payback.  We realize that not every business wants to wait six or seven years for solar to pay for itself.  Some of our clients prefer to finance the portion of system cost that remains after the first year tax incentives are recouped. In most cases, this allows for positive cash flow in year two!

With or without financing, solar is a low-risk and wise investment since the system will generate electricity for over 25 years (panels have a 25 year performance warranty) and TVA will buy it for at least 20 years (TVA Green Power Providers progam contract is 20 years).
